And so I wrote a poem… Perhaps it will get a few reads and … if I’m lucky one or two comments but they are so rare as Poetry Soup is like a graveyard But I won’t be deterred - after all this masterpiece of poetic genius is bound to get first place in John Lawless’s current contest... I may get Poem of the Day or even Poem of the Week which is usually kiss of death in contests... but hey you can't blame me for trying! And so I wrote a poem Poetry Contest Sponsored and to be judged by the very talented John Lawless n/a in contest judged on 10/20/2020 10/12/20

When people read but do not comment I think they are probably too busy. It is such a busy time. I do try to make lots of comments though especially encouraging brand new poets because Poetry Soupers were the encouragers who kept me writing.

Might be humorous, but there is a lot of seriousness between the lines, Jan. Hope you and yours are all keeping well. Hugs // paul

Yeah seems to have become a site soley for writting and not so much reading going on anymore. I myself Jan can even honestly hold my hands up and plead guilty to this as well. And its such a shame because its so nice and rewardind when someone takes the time to read and comment. Makes you wonded if we are to believe people are in fact what they write about given all the good will poems posted

thanks Chris yes it is somewhat tongue in cheek BUT there has been a dramatic fall in traffic on the site and no matter how active i try to be comments are not always reciprocated, others have noticed it too:-( hugs jan xx

And so you wrote a poem - a winner of a poem, I'm sure - Soup wouldn't be soup with you my friend. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Hi Jan. Yes, it's the friends and people that we meet on the way. Seems like PS is a silent graveyard at times. But you have a vast number of readers and followers. I wish I could keep up with PS more to support our family of poets. Take care Tony x
