And In My Dreams

my unlived dreams
     or maybe past lives
sprawl before me vivid
those elements too slippery
for my daytime fingers
a mutiny of imagination
lusts' games played shamelessly
and holy moments of understanding
entwined in nocturnal intimation
spilling into my undreaming hours -
Oh, how I love to dream,
and experience an existence more fully
relieved the burdens of wakefulness

Very nice imagery. A very dreamy verse that I enjoyed very thoroughly. Always, Laura

Yes, lately my dreams are unlived but then reality isn`t all that great either. Love the touch of insight and letting go in this timeless verse. Luv, Lizzie

fantastic imagery. It feels like waking up is to lose a king's crown upon one's head. well played.
