And He'Ll Be Mine

I saw him look at me,
I saw him look twice!
I'd love for him to ask me,
Oh, it would be so nice!

Oh! Perfect timing!
Here is a slow song!
Finally, it felt like
The wait was so long!

Whats this? Why didn't he ask?
Was he afraid?
And then right there,
My hope began to fade.

I saw him dancing
With another girl,
The thought of it
Made me want to hurl.

But I love him!
How can this be?
Why did he ask her?
Why did he not ask me?

Am I too ugly?
Too fat?
I wasn't going to dance by myself,
So I sat.

A second seemed like a minute,
A minute seemed like an hour.
Oh! My night
Turned very sour.

And then I thought,
I shall not whine!
Eventually they'll break up,
And he'll be mine!

Bobby Rydell sings in his song "Forget Him". That is good advice. Chances are, you have no physical defects. It's just that the competition out there is stiff. There's a man out there for you. Just keep looking. You describe everything here quite well with some good rhyming.
