Fall feels like the melancholy
Of a crisp, cool dark night
Fall is the whisper of leaves
Dancing to the beat of the wind
Falling soft across my thoughts
Fall is the gray silhouettes
Of naked trees, decaying leaves
In the mist of clear, blue ridges
Fall is the foggy mornings
Dawning in the shade of a bright
Marvelous sunshine
Fall is mystery and music
Faded nights around a fire
Fall is precious promises
Hues of tangerine and scarlet
Laughter on the heart
Fall is light and shadows
Glorious prayers blessed
By a Father who gives this serenity
Fall is grace that brings
Captivating images
Pumpkin patches and scarecrows
Glittery moons with stars glowing
Fall is praise alive with harvest
Gazing across timid pastures
And hills breathing in the freshness
Fall is the death of Summer
And the crumbling of marigolds
Fall is a light in the darkness
The breath of campfire dreams
Sliding through the mind
Moist and shimmering in the rain
Fall is the flavor of joy
Inspiring and sweet
Caressing my soul in feelings
Freedom, silence, harmony
Fall is a season
But it is so much more
It is the beginning
Of a song, a psalm, a idea
That Winter will say
The End, Amen to
