An Ordinary Autumn Morning

The park still wears a light mist over its grassy reaches. Autumn and the trees are losing their leaves. Children are getting ready to go to school. An old woman is pushing a shopping trolley full of her possessions along the street. The homeless emerge from cardboard boxes. The days are getting colder. A crane on a nearby building site begins to turn slowly, lifting a metal cage up off the ground and into a clear sky. This is ground zero.

Nothing ordinary about it Paul, except the fact that you actually saw and observed it. Most of the activity you described is "invisible" to most
