An Orange and Black Moment

I see fluttering shadows on the birdbath;
I see you seeing me.

We study each other – you are mesmerized;
For the beauty that is me.

One I am, the first this summer
My orange and black wings I exercise.

I see your admiration and love;
I am a Monarch butterfly!
