For the Onomatopoeia Poetry Contest of Emile Pinet

___________________________________________________________________________

It started with the beeping of my clock. Sometimes I want to bash that irksome thing. My dog barked for his food and then a walk. While walking him, my cell phone went brring brrring. I passed some school girls chattering away like chirping birds. Back to my house I went to feed the cats that mewed without delay. I grunted next. My bills had gone unsent. To mail them I zoomed off inside my car. It rained. Outside my car I had to slosh through puddles with no boots on. Great! Har har. I splashed back to my car, and oh my gosh, someone had whammed into my new car’s door. I nearly bawled. Not even noon – what more?

A big cup of warm coffee! What a cute poem with such a slightly stressful morning explained. I'd like to try one of these poems but they look so challenging. This was kind of like a toungue twister for me when I read it outloud, making it fun. I enjoyed it. :)

Wow! Congrats! Thanks also for my placement in your recently-judged contest. By the way, we are filled with festivals and celebrations in our country every month, especially during September, since such is the start of a long Christmas celebration in the Philippines.

For someone who has never wrote an Onomatopoeia poem, (meaning me) this I assume would be a textbook example of what to do, because you make it look easy. Must try this type of writing soon.

yes, you can do it. just find a list of Onomatopoeia words and use them to put a poem together. A long time ago I was challenged to do one, and I ended up with a fun poem using the sounds that animals make!

Don't worry. This can happen to anyone. I just took examples of annoying things and made them all happen in one day.
