"AN OBIDIENT CHILD" FROM MY ROOF TOP GARDEN, 22 JULY 2017, MY PHOTO, ©

I salute you oh mighty time:

My best friend,

My worst foe

For

To live without you is simply

Impossible!

Throughout my existence

I have, unsuccessfully, struggled to accept

Whatever you brought to me,

Either it was a sweet smile

Or a bitter tear with

Equanimity

Since

I could not enjoy the one

Without

Suffering the presence of

The other

For

This, you told me, is the order of things,

This is what the heavens

Decree,

But

I, a fool ignorant, resisted!

Now, however,

Older and wiser, an obedient child of yours, oh time,

Have I finally become

So as

To abide by your universal rules

Of growth and decay

Without

Any complaints!

A wise lady once said 'Time waits for no one' and her companion said 'Don't put off for tomorrow what you can do today'. Well there's no tomorrow as it's always today - 'The Present' for which we should regard as a Gift, because that's what it is. So I sit back impatiently patient and just accept what the Universal Energy has to offer. Thanks for your deep insightful reminder my wise friend...Maria

How wonderful to see you dearest Maria! Please, tell to the companion of the lady that what he said was said in the fifth century BC by Greek poet and Tragidian Aeschylus in his play: Seven Against Thebes" The universe my dearest is in a flux therefore no one can wait for all change, including us ( Heraclitus sixth BC) . Thank you so much for your generous comment! God bless you! My definition of present is this: " The moment at which the future changes into past" in that respect my friend the present is non existent thus we have to give dimention to present. So it could be: Today, this month, this year, this century, this millennium, this era. All this is present. We have to be careful when we talk about time!

That is the best thing to do at least. To abide with the oneness of God. Thanks for sharing.

Hallo Herr Professor!! Demetrios -- another one of your wondrously descriptive specialties here. "Time" and the inevitable march of it through every aspect of our respective lives, defines and shapes the rules by which we all must live and exist. I really like too the attached picture of "An Obedient Child" from your Roof Top Garden. (A perfect touch to your narrative!!) A FAVE mein guter Freund!! Best Weekend Wishes from Ingrid and me!! Gary

- I understand you, my friend - Actually, everyone must find their own way through life - With time we reveal the mystery of life, the universe and everything - We gain more confidence in our own inner wisdom - Great written - hugs // Anne-Lise :)

Wonderfully writ my friend, accepting ones mortality does bring peace and I believe enhances "quality of life" over "quantity of life". Bless xomo!
