AN INSTANT

An instant touch
Can bring life
Fertilize an egg
Procreate and excel

Expand on an idea
Stand on business
Grow your company
Instant entrepreneurial touch

An instant touch
Can bring death
Shot of a gun
Driving drunk

An instant touch can heal
Like the woman in the bible
Who had an issue of blood
Touched His hem was made whole

My instant cup of coffee or tea
May not seem so great to me
But the person without a cup
May see me as blessed filled up

Life is filled with so many instances
Be open to the significant possibilities

Veeeerrrry interrrresssting, my friend. A historical note: In the original (Hebrew) Bible, a word that can now mean for 'a moment' or 'an instant' was first used to mean 'turned' -- God turned toward Abel's offering, after He had rejected Cain's. From the two meanings, we see that things can 'turn in an instant.' How abot that?

Wow I am honored! I really felt this was not good enough so I didn’t enter the contest.

Your mind’s on fire! A great reminder to notice the touch of the small and great. This morning, my husband, who is usually working in the downstairs of our split-level, noticed all the little birds on the ground outside our window. This is curious to the one who is hidden from these happenings. LOL. Perhaps he is a poet after all…

That’s so sweet that he appreciates nature! I struggle with this form and have to work harder on delivery. I was trying for the contest but upon finishing the poem decided it is not worthy so no not entering this one. I may try again later Kim. Thanks

Well said. We all need to take this advice. It is easy to get dragged down by the events of each day
