An Inescapable Doom

Caressed by the rosy evening sky
Sitting in the lap of river bank
Hearing the songs of birds that fly
A dreamy fawn is staring in blank

Little does he know that
He is being stalked
From behind the green bushes
By a pair of eyes, black and dark

He gets up to go to his mother
Who is eagerly waiting for him
But will he reach there in time
For the world has now started becoming dim

The cunning eyes follow him
Till he is within the range of the gun
But the fawn senses something
For he starts to fearfully run

But the hunter pulls the trigger
And the quiet jungle hears a loud 'boom'
Now the fawn knows that
He couldn't escape his fated doom

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
