An Excuse To Write

Every single day, when pain has its say, All I can do is pray, I feel down-and-out, wanting to shout, God removes my doubts; With no cure, it's hard to endure, But, God's Word is sure, This won't kill me, though it grills me, He stills me; Amidst this daily fight, God helps me write, Which gives me delight, My pain's an excuse to sit and muse, A way out of my blues. 03/05/17 - 75 words

Many poets are inspired by pain, Jo, but few can present it as meaningfully as you did here. Prayer keeps us going in the tough times. Poetry is such a wonderful outlet to release the stress of each day!

A very food take on dealing with pain and or adversity. With God All Things ARE Possible. I have arthritis and I am able to work through it because God gives me strength and a deep pain threshold. Great write Jo. Every dark cloud has a silver lining if you look for it. God Bless and thanks so much for your kind words on my "The Butterfly". A big 7 from me. Good luck in the contest. JB
