An Ephiphany Dawns
Line of Enquiry
"What if life is a lucid dream
Borne by thoughts we ourself did stream
Wherein our designated role
Is to dance atop love’s moonbeam."
**********************************************************************************************************
If life is but a lucid dream,
Woven from thoughts we ourselves stream,
Wishes will turn to simple truth,
Misery won`t exist, in sooth.
We would awake where the sky gleams,
Soft and bright, in line with a scheme,
We would dance atop love`s moonbeams,
With each moment a sparkling theme.
With laughter our heart will untwine,
In fields of bliss our souls will shine,
Stress will dissolve like mists in dawn,
Strains, like wool from sheep, will be shorn.
In this realm of whispers and sighs,
We will paint our world in blue skies,
Each moment crafted by our heart,
A tapestry where dreams won`t part.
But soon life may turn to a bore,
The heart beat with a pining sore;
Dawn and day will be chased away,
Love`s moonlight will shine every day.
Life won`t be a vibrant rainbow
But reflection of love`s moon glow,
Where to dance atop love`s moonbeam
Without end, our self won`t redeem.
Our soul will languish at day`s end,
Our spirit down and down will bend,
Our heart will soon pine with excess
And will be seeking a recess.
Let the earth not be just love`s prance
With designated role to dance,
But a blend of joy and sorrow
That will carve a mixed tomorrow.
Let it be a world where high tide
Is soon succeeded by low tide,
Let it be earth where uphill slope
Is soon followed by downhill slope.
Let it be earth where summer heat
Is ensued by winter retreat,
Where dancing atop love`s moonbeam
Is trailed by care for soul, downstream.
Let our role be to cleanse our soul
Render us over time a whole;
On this earth where we turn around
Let peace of mind and soul abound.
Let`s embrace the world as it is,
As created by will of His,
With a diversity of hues,
With the sky and the ocean blues.
