An Emulation To Define the Situation

We sit and watch the budget grow.
Not to worry, we’ll print more dough;
Our children have so much to fear
From the trillions they now will owe.

As long as we can buy more beer
We can cut our spending next year.
Until the day that we awake,
To find a reckoning drawn near.

We vote in people who just take;
More and more money they don’t make;
They think it’s theirs not ours to keep;
Oh! The horror of our mistake.

Our loss of sense runs very deep.
Huge debts on our children we heap.
The situation makes me weep.
The situation makes me weep.
