something feels out of place, maybe my thoughts are twirling in the wind - i am just not sure which one, at this moment in time - i wish i knew. . i wish i could explain it (breathing out a deep sigh) there is a void, yes- an emptiness here emotions toss, back and forth - they don’t seem to have any direction; none at all how can this be? my heart aches and it slowly breaks yet, i don’t know why . . something feels different, not like it should be i just wish i understood, so i could explain it to my heart ___________________ - sometimes, thoughts tangle every emotion - * a little scribble from the heart * Author's Note: One should always feel happy, safe and at peace- in the Poetry World. This heart of mine is having a hard time understanding how negative thoughts, bullies and anger, even jealousy can reside in Poetry. (Always be different from the World)

So many times my writing's have been misconstrued as negativity over the course of my life. I choose to embrace both the darkness in me and the light they are the ying and yang they are the good and evil. To ignore one and allow the other to run rampant does not allow my true authenticity to shine through. When you allow yourself to not be authentic you become a shadow that consumes light instead of allowing it to pass through. I love this poem I love the note that you put at the end of it.AS

Negative emotions are normal and writing them down helps in many ways. Sharing them with everyone, isn't always necessary. Negative thoughts spoken aloud are certainly different than a dark feeling deep inside. Your comment is powerful and I understand you completely. So kind of you to say you love this poem. poetry is an outlet where emotions are vented. most angry hate filled poems are merely a sign someone is having a truly bad hair day. then again as we've discussed before, it maybe a sign of the poets true personality and a sign to stay away.

Sometimes, emotions are placed upon the page- because they need to be free. In a good way. Other times, they are placed to create an issue. You are right, as you have stated before, a poets heart is visible through words of poetry. Thank you Robert, your thoughts are appreciated. ~ Brandy

I understand how you feel Brandy, this site should be all about encouragement, unfortunately the world is a crazy place right now, and poetry is the expressing of thoughts and emotions that people feel. Unless there is hope and faith in ones heart there is no anchor for the soul in troubled times. This and all poetry sites are a reflection of the world around us!

I do feel your very refined words dear Brandy.. a heart of a poet does feel anything that is "out of place".. it does hurt! I perceive the realm of poetry as a world of Beauty, Insight and wonders.. and poets as beautiful and knowledgeable souls.. Dear Besma, a heart should feel at peace, while in poetry. Negative poems, ones that are hurtful do not belong where many strive to stay positive. This was beautiful in its sadness Brandy. They say a broken heart will heal with time, I just wonder if there is ever enough time for that to be completely true. As far as your notes, hate and bullying on poetry sites is just they way it is, but you are right and if we are all in this together, there is no reason we can not overcome this as well.

Yes, there is a sadness to this. For many reasons. I care for those around me, even the ones that I don't really know. Sounds silly I guess. Why does hate, negative comments and bullies have to be here?? Like I said, I just don't understand. Why is there jealously? We are all writers. Different, but we share the same voice. True, emptiness does not stay for long, especially for those who hold happiness inside. It takes someone wise and understanding to look over the negative- even when sometimes that is very difficult.
