An Elephant of Old
“An Elephant of Old”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I offer you this friendship with an elephant of old...
Into life's hidden treazures with alacrity he rode.
Times anew... adventures bold.
With you always... wherever you may go...
Easily giving pleazures... may've never so been known.
Luck is all he offers,
Naught yours to do but choose.
That which brings happiness... richly you deserve...
Or such that offers misery...
Born of nothing left to lose.
Choice... survives as now your song...
Sing it well you see...
For we all are cast adrift...
Amidst a sea of constant rift.
Do only as best you can... thus you will excel...
To your future... which fear doth quell.
Your days bliss of memory...
O'times we'd spent so well.
