An Ego Boost In Produce

Late night in the market, I see a father's son. He tugs his daddy’s pants. I hear him say, "Daddy, look. Look and see." (there’s no one there but me) I want to thank the boy that made this not-so-young gal's day With "See the pretty lady!" Dad turns red. They rush away. (Well, this was a while back, when I was blonde. haha) For the COMPLIMENTS Poetry Contest of Frank H.

I've heard that the produce aisle is a good place to meet people, perhaps over a discussion of lettuce. Yes, a fine comment... Jack

got to love children and how they just say what comes to mind at a young age...they know not how to lie, I have worked with them for many years and some of the things they come out and say can embarrass a parent at times...what a sweet poem for the contest :)
