An Aura of Twilight

An Aura Of Twilight

Marked on a blotted page yet clearly intact
The surface of the moon can be a smooth as glass
No one in this life gets by on a free pass
We took a long look inside felt we had nothing to hide
Many are torn inside by the visible age of discontent
Sorrowful gardens of wheat and heavy moss
A plush recliner in the store room diner
An aura of twilight crosses my inner vision
To a degree we all felt locked up inside a prison
The shade of grass is green yet in the sun a hint of grey
There are heads out in the street proclaiming peace yet are full of hate
A challenge to be free is a question of time
Write down your thoughts and treasure each new discovery
Why are we as a nation in so much of a hurry
We woory of the storm brewing outside the door
To seek love fresh out of a garbage can let me explain
The mountains will crumble beneath your feet if you don't stand tall
Take charge of the memory vested in your no it all
With a fresh fragrance of ivory shared by an angelic presence
We traveled so far not to turn back now
In vast quaint pillars of delight there's no use looking back at the plough
An aura of twilight that's payed for in the vast illumination of the sun
Let's run to the opened arms of those that stuck to their guns
Inside my mind I hide as a lost child that I am hopefully all will understand
