An Artistic Mind
Amidst the noise of everyday life,
A notion strikes the mind and cuts like a knife.
Piercing through the trappings of an ordinary day,
Through schedules and the mundane, it finds its way.
The fingers may twitch to an unrecognized rhythm,
Distracting the mind to a new journey with them.
Through the fabric and layers of perception and time,
They weave and they bobble to come to a rhyme.
A harmony of sorts that will float through the air,
To dance uninhibited, without worry or care.
Soon they are joined by a thought so obtuse,
It has no real value, no immediate use.
But instinct will say do not dismiss it,
It will work and will play, to fashion a fit.
Now there are three, a number to revere,
Soon that is all the mind can handle or hear.
Closing out reality and personal strife,
Until it can bring this new creation to life.
When left unfettered and allowed to breathe,
This idea, this moment, will boldly conceive.
It mates and it mingles on unfamiliar ground,
Until, at last, its purpose is found.
To share and express one’s innermost thought,
Something quite precious and eagerly sought.
It’s just what creativity & passion must find …
The release and relief of an Artistic mind.
