An Angels Cry
I know why angels cry
Why they fly so low
I seen one in agony
The vision changed my soul
She was sitting on a cloud
Looking down below
Anticipating your arrival
Of welcoming you home
She saw that you were struggling
She saw you growing weak
The look that is unmistakable
When you feel true heartbreak
That night to you was unbearable
The worst one of its kind
You thought you knew the way to peace
And so you took your life
She rushed to you to wrap you up
In her beautiful, nurturing wings
When she flew you up to Heaven
They wouldn't open the golden gates
She spoke to God on your behalf
Crying her desprate angels tears
God told her she had to take you back
You still have many years
Though she didn't want to
Though it broke her heart
She placed your body back to earth
She then went back up to her cloud
Now when the raindrops fall to the ground below
Its her tears streaming down her face
And every now and then her feathers fall
That's when you know your safe
