An Angel May Be Weeping

Seems an angel may be weeping
For I felt a tear--or two;
But the clouds they do conceal her
Hidden safely from my view.

How I wish that I could hold her
Gently wiping every tear;
Then the clouds would surely open
And the sky would surely clear.

And I'd enfold her in my arms
And dry her feathered wing;
Then serenade her with a song
My heart would grandly sing.

Then this angel, no more weeping
Would appear as if the sun;
That I and she, might finally be
No longer two, but one.

Does your heart feel sort of funny, Mel? For I am sure you left part of it in this poem!! Lovely and touching, to say the least! Congrats on a worthy win! // paul

Thanks Paul. Now that you mention it, my heart does feel kinda funny, but I thought it was something I ate lol Yeah, like many things I write, a part of me does get left behind. I better quit writing while there's still some of me left :)

I too am glad that you found this. It's on e of my earlier writes, but I thought it would be better received than it was. This win will help, I suppose. Nice to hear from you, and I hope everything's okay with your dad and family. Love and blessings...Mel ::)

Hi Cas...well isn't this becoming a bit awkward? Maybe more for me than for you, but awkward nonetheless. I am a lonely man caught between longing and the vivid images of love and sensuality. Could this be more than a mere mortal can endure?

Clever poem...my guess would be you were amongst the rain... Nothing like standing in the rain facing upwards to heaven. But not when directing traffic..lol Awesome write!

LOL. What's up, my friend? Shoot anyone lately? Given that .45 a dance yet? I'm jealous. A poet who likes guns...go figure. And you're very perceptive. I was in the rain, metaphorically--big time. Funny what things come from adversity. Be safe! ~M
