An Angel In the Night
An Angel appears before me,
His presence is the only thing I can see.
He speaks to me in a way I don't understand,
And yet, deep down, I feel as if I should understand.
He turns to leave,
But I beg him to stay with me.
He shakes his head sadly,
He kisses my forehead, then he is gone.
In the morning when I woke,
I believed it all to have been a dream.
But as I look around the room,
I see a single black feather on the pillow next to mine.
Removing the feather from the pillow,
I hold it close to my chest.
A single tear comes to my eye,
I have many raging emotions inside.
Some feeling of loss and sadness,
Even feelings of anger and despair.
But even as all these emotion rage a war inside,
From each and every emotion, I cannot hide.
