An Amazing Storehouse

Our minds are an amazing storehouse
Of vivid impressions since we were born,
All inside the brain, this vast warehouse
A perfect reason not to indulge in p**n.
Time may come when someone will read
Our minds, will they be shocked, for sure,
Especially if they find nothing of rare note
And a cerebellum filled with manure.

"a cerebellum filled with manure" - funny! I wish I knew what the ****s stood for in this one.

Oh, it's porn, Caren. I couldn't figure out why it was censored because it's such an innocuous word in itself. I went back and revised so others wouldn't have that problem.

I'd just love to get in my storehouse and have a damn good clear out lol. Tom

Me too, Tom. I'm sure there's a lot of trash up there in mine, and I wish I could figure out how to do a good cleansing. They say meditation will do it, but I've not been very successful at that!

Yeah, I think our digital footprint gives our overlords some pretty good ideas about what is between the ears. Scary how quick conversations prompt and placements in four social media feeds

That's the primary reason why I spend only a miniscule amount of time on those social media feeds. I have also given the boot to Alexa! Thanks for the thoughts, Jeff.

very thought-provoking, an interesting read. We would not be able to keep our thoughts to ourselves even after death. Why? would 'they' bother to look, if, the last two lines of your verse are correct which I am sure they are. There is enough manure in the world already, Why? look for more. Thank you, Milt. (Great verse)

Oh, the truth is, Shirley, that folks like to dig up the dirt on other folks, don't they? So, even after someone is gone, if someone can find some dirt they'll dish it. The good, positive things are only fodder for the eulogy. The "good stuff" comes out at the reception, eh?
