An Affair
It suddenly changed, everything changed,
Nothing would be the same,
The night had washed away her love,
Washed away all of her flame,
Washed her words, her walk, her stride,
Even the clothes she wore,
Gone were the things I held deep down,
The things she was before,
Her attention had moved to another guy,
Uncomplicated, simple and plain,
A one dimensional, egotistical guy,
Who only used half a brain,
So I floated, with the moon, away from her,
I floated off with the air,
Leaving a note, inside her mind,
That we were the real affair.
