An Adaptation of a Poem When

An Adaptation of the Poem “IF” By Rudyard Kipling When By Gavri Hanita Hazaka Abir Selek 2nd Charles Gerald Patrick Chard 2nd When you can keep your cool, When others loose theirs, all around you like fools, With all the negative words of outburst, Their words lash out at you for the worst, Will you in your heart make allowances for all who doubt? Will you still pray for them, waiting without a pout? When you hear their lies, will you lash back with lies in return? With their hatred, not taking it personally inside when it burns? Don’t justify yourself by trying to be wise, When bad dreams are just bad dreams, they don’t control your anger size, When you can’t think clearly, making evil thoughts your aim, When you can’t meet triumph and disaster exactly the same, When you hear the truths come from your own mouth, Down from your own nose abit to the south, Will it be twisted, foolish, a trap for others? Or will it be wise counsel, my sisters, and my brothers? When you watch things like your words, so hard, but broken and fallen apart, Will you stand strong in your faith and not depart? Rebuild what has been torn down with Biblical tools, Then you are the better person, not to be cursed with fools, Look for that inner strength from deep within, It will guide you away from sin, The Word of GOD is your standard, your strength, your shield, Your life is the LORDS to HIM you must yield, Everything is the LORDs including the earth, Will you rejoice in a dance, or sing a dirth.
