Amidst Highland Heather

Thriving we're amidst Highland Heather Below azure skies, cotton wool clouds Hearts in touch baring poetic souls As we rival nature sighing aloud Bare back pages await to be scribed Words forming sentences by finger quills Continual grammar practised on thighs Whilst imaginary links ink their spills We can only appreciate why we're here Below canopies of green forested leaves Absorbed by a wanting to write our lives To fuse our us to continually conceive For thriving we're amidst Highland Heather Below azure skies, cotton wool clouds Our hearts will never be able to say enough As we rival natures beauty, we're avowed <*>

Scotland is my favorite place on the planet, and I can say this with impunity because I loved it well before I married my highlander. Once again, your words inspire.

Scotland has more acres of Heather moorland than any other country in the world (about 70% in the UK)...And I should know - I've tramped a fair old bit of it! Your poem brings back lots of very, very happy memories, James. My warmest regards to you both. :) john P.s God help you if the wind drops - Oh those bl..dy Midges!!! Lol.

Hiya Jan, thank you kindly. Apologies, we've hardly been on the Soup. Hopefully we'll be more frequent in the months ahead. I smiled seeing you here, and I thank you for always being here. Kind regards from Eloisa and I xxxx
