Amid Falling Leaves
There's a heart shaped hollow in her
As she stands amid falling leaves
The bare branches bear witness to her brokenness
Her heartache hurts to her harm
She stands alone and forlorn
Waiting for her special someone
That someone with whom she can share her pain
That someone on whose shoulder she can rest
That someone who will be her Spring
The falling leaves are hopeful in their desolation
Waiting for that someone to catch them
As she also waits.
