America's Great Documents, Part 2

1.  The Magna Carta  1215

This was a British Document which also governed the colonies before we became an independent nation.  I found seven expressions of God and references to the church.  "Grace of God",  "Will of God", "Honor of God", "Granted to God", 1st. Paragraph, "That the English church shall be free", 1st. Paragraph, "For the sake of God", 61st. Paragraph, "That the English Church shall be free", 63rd. Paragraph   

 2.  The Mayflower Compact  1620
 
Four phrases:  "Grace of God",  "Glory of God", "Christian Faith", "Presence of God"

3.  The Declaration of Independence  1776
 
Four references:  "Nature's God", 1st. Paragraph; "Created equal", 2nd Paragraph; "Their creator", 2nd. Paragraph; "Divine Providence", Last sentence
