America - the Melting Pot of Freedom

(20/06/2011) Ones might know the value of tolerance Let’s ask American for their multicultural life How has it been? Are they living in a camouflage screen? Ones might throw their identities Let’s ask American for their multicultural life Should we keep our ethnicities unseen? Or we keep our sanities in between? Ones might keep their entities Let’s ask American for their multicultural life Can they socialize easily? Or they only do chat briefly? Ones might blend-in perfectly Let’s ask American for their multicultural life Can they act in melting pot fairly? Or they mind their popularities only?

This a very interesting perspective (from the outside looking in)... I'm an American myself but I still notice some of the flaws of our culture... the part about socializing easily, but chatting briefly says a lot about the States. Where did person to person conversation go? Is now everything just screen to screen?... if you get my my meaning...

Dinda, we Americans do have a melting pot society. Many of us do try to treat people of all ethnicities equally, but there are still some vestiges of discrimination. I like to think we are making progress in resolving these issues and we've certainly come a long way in the past several decades. You pose some good questions in your poem! Got me thinking.
