Listen to poem:
Unworthy I am, spared the wrath I deserve
The blood of Your Son set me free
It’s by Your good pleasure, Your love for this sinner
Your gift of salvation to me
Your mercy is goodness, Your merit imputed
Removing my guilt I am blessed
Few words can convey the joy that I know
So look into my heart for the rest
Audacious the faith that would dare to believe
I come to the throne of Your grace
I no longer hide in the trees of the garden
Boldly I now seek Your face
That which I see not, teach Thou me, God
My Maker Who gives songs in the night
In darkness I dwelt ‘til Your Spirit redeemed me
My life now is lived in the light
Truth doesn’t need agreement by me to be true
Truth is truth in itself
And God doesn’t need profession or claim of belief
God is God regardless
Now I’m merely finite but You, God, are infinite
Nonetheless in Your image I’m made
To think thoughts after You, to pursue revelation
Your nature unearthed in Your Word
Self-existent, without beginning
God eternal, without end
Everlasting, without limit
Truth unchanging
Amen
