Ambitions

They push, crawl and reach. I sit back and watch the parade. I feel a force from within. It's pulling me in their direction. I refuse, fight back and resist. It weakens, the coast seems clear. I don't want to give in, get dragged along and play a part in their scheme. But I still feel the need to try harder, be stronger and stay longer. I nod, let my head down and watch my screen. I guess that I am going to stay a few more hours at the crime scene. Battling between my authenticity and societies expectations.
