I find when chasing a dream, on the way fate offers me a better dream to follow. This impowers me to follow even an impossible dream, know that it may just be leading me to the right path for something else. What a profound and wise reminder dear dr poet sotto, its an absolute pleasure always reading your poems, as they are uplifting and very moving with powerful messages conveyed poetically. a thought-provoking and powerful poem, dearest Sotto. Your words gave me pause. I think it's important to 'retain a firm belief in dreams' at any age. Your poem reminded somewhat of Langston Hughes' words: "Hold fast to dreams, For if dreams die Life is a broken-winged bird That cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, For when dreams go Life is a barren field Frozen with snow." I carry those words and now yours in my heart. Thanks for an uplifting read.
