Ambition

Wrapped around the pillar of humanity

As it slithers up it coils tighter and tighter

It's length spreads a warmth that is all too inviting

A paralyzing euphoria

Left unsuspecting
the snap is surprising

Nice poetic analogy comparing ambition to a snake. Too often, people confuse greed with ambition.
