Amber

Snowflakes fall on your upturned face. Has it really been that long? I hope you know that I haven’t forgotten Haunting images of happiness burned into my mind Constant reminders of what was and what could have been Someday, maybe we shall be together again Partners in crime as one would say Curse the fate that tore us apart Such a long time ago, yet it seems like yesterday Stars shine through the cobalt blue of the midnight sky Tears reflect their light as they fall from ice blue eyes Beautiful images dance in the wind, beautiful memories Words rise away from their paper, too powerful to be kept confined Your image starts to fade away…no this cannot be a dream Can you still hear me, please say something. No matter what happens always remember these words Never change who you are, you mean the world to me My best friend, my sister, my hero, my Amber
