Amazing Mercy of God

Awesomely amazing is God's mercy*
Bountiful in His boundless clemency
Compassion-filled complementing His grace
Directed for mankind's redemption-brace.

Expressed by the Scriptures as gift divine
Forgiveness-wrapped with the Spirit's seal sign
Greatly offered to me for blessed claim
His mercy I received, trusting Christ's name.

Imputed with holiness as mercy's grant
Judging me guiltless; now, I'm jubilant...
Kindness of the King reached down to my soul
Love He wrought for my liberty-led goal.

Mercy of the Lord assures me heaven
Nourishing me with wisdom, truth-driven
Optimizing my faith for good works' height
Prodding me toward ministry delight.

Quickened against eternal punishment
Revived am I by mercy's fulfillment
Serving my Master Whom I vow to please...
Thanking Him forever, never to cease!

*Psalm 136:2 O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.
