Amazing Grace
AMAZING GRACE
Fell flat on my face
Completely out of place
For what I know
For who I am to be
My disobedience
Bringing sorrow
Producing shame
And defeat
Emptiness echoes within me
Crying out to hope once again
I reach out of myself
Upward toward heaven
Embracing my Savior
Where on the cross
Shamed by the world
He took my place
My shame is erased
By his gift of grace
