Amazing Grace

She was known around the town

As the girl with a troubled soul

She found her joy in men

Who left before the morn

Through pain she found her pleasure

From the men who came to call

They say her name was Grace

With a story to share for all

Misery paid a visit

Many times throughout her life

No family could she speak of

No friends were ever in sight

The mindset she would live by

To keep someone around

Ignore her soul and use

The talent she had found

She’d wonder the streets and buildings

All through the day and night

To find a little comfort

And hide her hurt and strife

Married men or single

No preference just a lay

To bring a smile to her face

Who could resist the play

They say she was amazing

The best they ever had

Things she would do to them

Would shame the soul of a man

Yet still they would come running

Heed the beckon call

A place for them at Grace’s

Good times were had by all

Nothing could ever stop her

From the life she chose to live

For laying on her back

Was her triumph over sin

Until one fateful day

When life for her would end

One man she thought she trusted

Would end the sin within

Once a beauty now a legend

Her story told through town

Amazing Grace’s legacy

Will live through love she found

How sweet the sound of her name

Would flow through many tongues

Was lost in a world of loneliness

Now found with God above
