Amazing Birth of Christ
"The beauty of Christmas is not in the presents, but in His presence"
- Author unknown
"Away in a manger",
Born like a little stranger,
Christ, the Anointed One,
Deemed to be David's Son,
"Emmanuel, God with us,
Fear not, He'll be called Jesus"
Good tidings of great joy,
Here is God's own little boy,
In the highest, glory to God,
Jesus, born as Saviour and Lord,
Knowing this, the shepherds came,
Longing to see Him in Bethlehem,
Majestic King, born as a babe
Newly laid in a humble crib.
Oh! The star glowing bright!
Precursor to that Glorious Light,
Quietly shining in the sky,
Regally showing the way from high.
See the Wise Men plotting their way,
Travelling to meet Christ, came they.
Unimaginable, God's great love,
Veiled in flesh, sent from above,
Worthless we, blessed by this birth
Xmas - incarnation of God on earth
Yearly reminder of sacrificial giving
Zenith of 'Heaven came down' living.
