Am I Hiding

A reflection of negligence
disguised with elegance
Maybe I am not who I appear to be
frustrated by the idea of a facade
I believed in who I was
Even by the trumbles of my words
the tight chest and shaky hands
I am not who I thought I was.

A powerful piece of confessional poetry that captures a specific moment of intense introspection and vulnerability.
