Alzheimer's Poem
I thought it was tonight
but maybe it's tomorrow.
I wondered when I woke
with memory stalled in sorrow.
Then got up to a life
that faded into mind.
And knew I couldn't share
what others couldn't find.
Then started out my day
remembering what I could.
Ignoring all the others
that never understood.
Until I had to share
what some would call a hi.
When all my fears remembering
were pressures quickened bye.
