Always Only
The relationship that never was
Profoundly failed just because….
Promises were never kept
Basic lack of respect
Thoughtless, heedless, grim neglect
Difficulty to connect…
Physical did not exist
Broken hearts and egos squished
Frustrations, anger slowly mixed
Unleashing such contemptuous rift…
Somewhere along was not worthwhile
Forgetting how to simply smile
Acting out and with denial
Perhaps another was fertile.
Three years gone and went to fast
Maybe not was built to last
Opportunities surpassed
Issues were and problems-vast.
Hook was fine though hole in net
All along depression crept
Paranoid of such a theft
Either one just up and left
The relationship that never was
Profoundly lived and just because…
Imagination never ceased
Fantasies always increased
Shattered hearts again were pieced
Goals are made to be reached
Passionate for more and more
Learning from what was before
Only natural to explore
Faith alone does restore
Inside hearts were truely kind
Loyality and peace of mind
Vanity had much declined
Responsibility refined
Acceptance of each others fate
Understanding the soulmate
Letting go of all the hate
Changing to negotiate
All good things weighed in stack
Having to return to track
Something else kept intact-
Always only to come back.
