Always

I'll always be here for you, where else would I go. But for you, my heart is lost, in dream.. to counting sheep, and always will be so. I don't need a better picture of you.. than the one that plays in my mind. Two hands held so close to my heart, and you always were so kind. Keep me near like a smile.. one you used to hide. A whisper of your beautiful name to my faithful heart. It's never too far.. after all, my hands hold back approaching tide.. to catch you when you fall. I'll always be here for you, where else would I go.

Hi Juliet, No. But I've always loved the Indiana Jones movies and mysteries of ancient Egypt. I've only been to Italy (Rome, Naples, & Pompeii) in Europe. Bermuda in the Atlantic, and through the Panama Canal (both directions) on sea-and-anchor duty from the Pacific side. And of course Mexico & Canada. I suppose there's a Mediterranean cruise line that visits Egypt's seaports in Alexandria or Cairo. -Richard

Paul, I climbed the mountain of comments to yours. Is that thanks enough? No, I suppose not. What motivates a soul to give someone there all. Especially the young who've seen so little of the world. Perhaps in part due to wretched hormones. But older and wiser learn the loneliness of one. Much better to travel with her to a favorite park than to go it alone to the Great Pyramid of Giza. What are your thoughts? -Richard

Mystic Rose Rose, Thank you for the rare healer's touch, I think I've learned what draws the mystic out. Afraid the loyal term may be lost to another time. Then again, there comes a time and a place where everything old is new again. "Pussycat pussycat where have you been? ~~ "I’ve been up to London to visit the Queen!" // "Pussycat pussycat what did you there? ~~ I frightened a little mouse under the chair!" -English nursery rhyme

_Constance, Thank you for that. De we look for answers to questions of life in other's poetry? I do. After all there's hope in 'I may', and real power in 'I will'. But true romance' magic made when two hearts reach for an altered answer in 'I do'. Always. -Richard

Thank you for this, I was channeling the Irish poet Yeats, I think. I've grown tired of my own, so maybe take a read of his: 'May she be granted beauty and yet not // Beauty to make a stranger's eye distraught, // Or hers before a looking-glass, for such, // Being made beautiful overmuch, // Consider beauty a sufficient end, // Lose natural kindness and maybe // The heart-revealing intimacy // That chooses right, and never find a friend.' -A Prayer for my Daughter - W. B. Yeats (1865-1939)
