Alone At the Beach - It
I sit alone in this house near the shore
Restoration and peace, myself to reach.
They told me of the psycho cat’s demise
What a relief it was to hear of that.
That horrific cat, it would hiss and spit
Waiting to pounce on and claw passers by.
Now I have some me time and will be fine
The label I hide on the wine bottle.
Sabbatical dreams after quarantine
I lived life on edge and was sleep deprived.
I now sing and dance, hoping for romance
The happiness I have yearned for so long.
There’s no finer place than beside the sea
To aid oneself in acquiring full health.
What is that I hear, now comes back my fear
Eerie boardwalk creaks near the white sand beach.
