Alone

Deceitful are the minds
Of the bent and broken
The lonesome and blue
Deep in their disarray
Smothered with sorrow
Clouding the truth

For no sickness so potent
As that of the homesick
Who remain home
Or loneliness so profound
As that of one lonely
When not alone

Hello Jessica Wheeler, So nice to meet you. Sometimes it is good to be alone. After all we are our own best friends. We can hear our thoughts and an idea comes for a poem. Enjoy your day my friend. , /Darlene/
