Alone

Am I drowning in the water yet Piercing the surface I fell through Or am I still floating dead Sad turn of events into Could I have escaped perhaps Should I have even tried Bad luck sure lends me no gaps Had I better died But life and on I must continue Maybe a thousand years And mortality it subdue Bringing back old fears And soon I must decide What goes on and on Is it a beautiful flower Or what withers alone.
