All These Years

Because I’ve loved you all these years,
It’s hard to trust that this is real—
That through the heartache and the tears,
At last, you share the love I feel

I’ve dreamed so long of coming back,
And seeing you just one more time,
But never thought that I would stay,
Or that your heart would now be mine

I’ve longed for you so many times,
Remembering the moments shared,
So long ago when we were young,
Through snow and cold December air

You know I’ve loved you all these years,
And always held you in my heart,
So now I’ll keep you by my side,
And never let us grow apart.
