All the Dead Bodies

What do I do with all the dead bodies
Of those who have murdered my heart
And left me a wreck
With no hopes and dreams
No self esteem
No will to fight
Or get through the night…

What? What do I do with all the dead bodies
Strewn along the pathways of my mind
People who are dead to my heart
Those whom I want to forget
Who fed me the bile of regret
What do I do?

What do I do with all the dead bodies
Of those who have deadened my love
And left my heart frozen, numb
Left me alone to scream
Thirsty by love's stream
Longing to die
Without knowing why
They could be so cruel
To break my heart’s every rule
What shall I do?

I will bury them….
In some forgotten well
As I live out my hell
Of the memories they’ve left behind
To this heart they were not kind
I will bury them…
Once and for all
There is no resurrection call
For the dead bodies of my heart…

This is crazy good and it has easily become a favorite poem. "People who are dead to my heart"...Oh, I would not want to be on your bad side. Dark, engorging, truly gorgeous sentiments filled with deathly analogy. Absolutely love this new poem here. Always, Laura

Hmmmmmmmm....middling fair. Thought you'd have something a little more.....profound. Walk away? You can walk away from a PC....You can't always do that from people! I want my money's worth, Mr Shrink. Give me more...........

Ok, I'll tell you how I do it. I think back to my darkest hour, from there nothing is as bad or worth getting upset over. You know, sometimes I just have to walk away from this PC, like right now

Ok, Richard...How? How do I forget? I'm getting better...but still....this stupid heart of mine never wants to learn! Got a magic pill, or heart tranquilizer or....spikes to put on the exterior of my heart? What do you do, "Mr....I'm good at giving advice cause I have it all together?"
