All I Need

The phone is silent
computer is blank
no sound of life anywhere

It’s a lonely feeling
one can hardly stand
so what am I to learn

When silence comes
in a manner as this
there is something I must hear

The voice of My Lord
speaks ever so soft
trying to tell me of His Word

So that is why
this void is here
and I am to sit alone

With great hopes I pray
I will gain wisdom
from His saving grace

Let the phone be silent
the computer blank
My Lord’s voice is all I need
