All About Me

This poem will help you to learn about who I am,
Mostly about what's inside and that I'm not my biggest fan.

I am a deep person who thinks way too much,
But longs for love, respect and a soft touch.

I pretend to be hard because that what I would like to be,
But I'm very soft, get sad easily and wish I was more free.

I do things to make everyone happy and keep them pleased,
Putting aside my own feelings and my own needs.

I have not put myself first in such a long time,
Sometimes I feel as if that's unfair and a serious crime.

I wish I was different and stronger than I appear,
Because honestly when I begin to think, it makes me tear.

Maybe one day I'll have the strength to be strong and proud,,
Until that day, inside I'll be soft but outside pretend to be loud.

My only advice I can share with anyone who is like me,
Be yourself, not what others want because you'll never be free.
