Agony of the Covenant

The Nazarene bearing witness to the grace of our God; Sinners thru Christ spared the wrath of His rod. Lo' the sunset set its mark on that fateful day, When our Lord for our sins kneeled he down to pray. Great golden orb of the fated Jerusalem sky, Shining for our Saviour, who for our sins would soon die. Wearing worn sandals fastened with thongs, Resplendent in tatters, righting our wrongs. Twelve disciples sworn, nary one kept the trust; One to betray Him, eleven others fading at dust. In the gardens that eve our Lord's final prayer, Knowing that the Father would always be there, Jehovah's covenant through Jesus His Son; Will of the world to not be undone. Through the eyes of the sinners they saw His rise; Through the eyes of the sinners they became wise. On Calvary our Lord didst release us from sin; Satan, the great sinner, to his great chagrin. Twas the morning of Jesus, when love filled the air. And the world lifted its voices in jubilant prayer.

A great tribute to our Savoir. A good reminder of all that has been sacrificed for us.

Really well written, love the old English gives it a biblical feel. Reminds me of my he died today poem, maybe you would like it. This is a rhyming poem so you may want to change the form from free verse to Rhyme or quatrain, just a suggestion. Well done!
