Aging Thoughts
I remember when time didn’t last a day
When the sun settled upon a hill without a plan
Orange glowing
Crickets chirping… “dawn is setting”
Grass so light onto sleep
And time never passed my brain
If time were not to exist
I could sleep in, crush the covers between my fingers
Pause
Stop and explain what you missed
In awe of your ignorant bliss
Relish your childlike grin
Forever in search of within
