I remember when time didn’t last a day When the sun settled upon a hill without a plan Orange glowing Crickets chirping… “dawn is setting” Grass so light onto sleep And time never passed my brain If time were not to exist I could sleep in, crush the covers between my fingers Pause Stop and explain what you missed In awe of your ignorant bliss Relish your childlike grin Forever in search of within
